Tracking the progress of a project and also reporting that progress is a vital form of recording a projects progress and a way of informing others. Tracking is not only about keeping a record of what has already been accomplished but can look forward to next steps and anticipated risk. The project leaders role (or whomever is running the meeting) for a workplace project at this stage is one of facilitation.
It is possible to lead mostly by asking questions rather than necessarily being the one with all the answers. This is because the underlying objective is to encourage team participation and interaction rather than lecturing or assigning tasks. The leader should try some of the methods in the link. Please click on the link for more information
When working with the team in a collaborative way, we expect interactions, mark ups of screen shots, and a lot of back and forth discussion of ideas and options.
